Programs

EmpowerNet Uganda works with communities across Uganda to break the cycle of poverty through education, health, economic empowerment, clean water, and environmental protection. Our programs are designed to create long-term, sustainable change at the individual, household, and national level.

Education and Youth Empowerment

Education is the foundation of opportunity and a powerful tool for ending poverty. Research shows that every additional year of schooling can increase a person’s income by up to 10%, while vocational skills significantly increase youth employment and entrepreneurship.

We support vulnerable children with scholastic materials, school meals, mentorship, and career guidance to keep them in school and help them succeed. Our programs go beyond classroom learning by integrating sports, music, leadership development, and life-skills training.

We operate vocational training workshops where youth and young mothers gain hands-on skills in:

Clean Water and Sanitation

Clean water is a basic human right. Unsafe water and poor sanitation cause over 829,000 deaths globally every year and contribute to widespread illness in children.

We improve community health through:

We empower communities with affordable local solutions like boiling, filtration, and solar disinfection.

Health and Social Well-being

Healthy communities are strong communities. Access to healthcare improves life expectancy, productivity, and quality of life.

We work with Village Health Teams to deliver:

We encourage mothers to attend antenatal care and deliver at health facilities to reduce maternal and infant deaths

Economic Empowerment

Economic independence is key to breaking the poverty cycle. Agriculture and small businesses are the backbone of Uganda’s economy.

We train women, youth, and farmers in:

We also distribute coffee and cocoa seedlings, helping households generate long-term income.

Environmental Conservation & Climate Resilience

Climate change threatens livelihoods, food security, and safety. Uganda is highly vulnerable to floods, landslides, and drought.

Our environmental programs include:

We encourage mothers to attend antenatal care and deliver at health facilities to reduce maternal and infant deaths
