About Us

EmpowerNet Uganda is a community-based Non Governmenal organization committed to empowering communities and uplifting marginalized populations across the country. Our work is driven by a passion for social and economic transformation, with the ultimate goal of creating a future where all community members can thrive.

We focus on a holistic approach to community development, addressing various social challenges while promoting equity and inclusivity for all. We believe that lasting change comes from supporting the most vulnerable, including individuals in emergency situations, persons with disabilities, orphans, and widows. Our dedication ensures that no one is left behind.

Our History and Mission

Founded in 2018 on the principles of compassion and community solidarity, EmpowerNet Uganda was established to fill a critical need in supporting Uganda’s most vulnerable populations. Recognizing the systemic barriers faced by marginalized groups, our founders set out to build an organization that not only provides immediate relief but also fosters long-term, sustainable growth.

Our mission is to empower Ugandan communities by fostering social and economic transformation for marginalized groups, enhancing health standards, and promoting climate change resilience. We strive to create a happy, educated, sustainable, healthy, and poverty-free society for all.

Our Core Pillars of Work

EmpowerNet Uganda’s work is built on four core pillars designed to address the most pressing challenges faced by our communities.

1. Education and Youth Empowerment

We provide educational support to vulnerable children and offer vocational training to youth and young mothers to help them achieve economic independence and fight illiteracy.

2. Health and Social Well-being

We work to improve health standards by enhancing access to quality healthcare. Our programs include HIV/AIDS education, testing, and counseling, as well as reproductive healthcare services.

3. Economic Empowerment

We empower women and youth through capacity-building programs that focus on economic independence and skills training. We encourage engagement in projects like poultry keeping and savings and credit schemes to foster financial stability.

4. Clean Water and Sanitation

Access to clean, safe water and proper sanitation is a fundamental human right. Our program addresses this critical need through community education on hygiene and sanitation practices and through resource mobilization to provide tangible solutions like boreholes, protected wells, and water purification kits.
