EmpowerNet Uganda equips women, youth, and smallholder farmers with the skills and resources needed to build sustainable livelihoods. According to the World Bank, <\/span><b>growth in agriculture is up to four times more effective in reducing poverty<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> than growth in other sectors in low-income countries.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We provide training in poultry keeping, goat rearing, fish farming, and modern farming practices such as mulching and terrace farming\u2014techniques that increase yields and reduce climate risks. Smallholder farmers produce <\/span><b>over 70% of the world\u2019s food<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, yet many struggle with low productivity and limited market access. By training farmers in value addition and business skills, we help households earn more from their produce and build financial resilience.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our savings and credit initiatives encourage financial literacy and community savings groups, enabling families to access small loans for business growth. We also distribute coffee and cocoa seedlings\u2014two high-value crops that can significantly increase household income.
